Our Work

Laura’s House

12/16/24

Late into the school year, 2025, Jackson and I wanted to try something different. Diverting from the usual donation cycles, we held an extremely successful video game donation drive at their school, where participants donated their unused video games, controllers, and consoles.

On May 19, 2025, the SimplyEwaste team met up with The Boys and Girls Club leadership in San Clemente to arrange a much-needed upgrade to their game room. We donated:

  • 3 carefully-refurbished Nintendo Switch consoles with docks and cables

  • 6 Joy-Con controllers and 4 “pro” controllers

  • 15 Nintendo Switch games, including Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., Mario Tennis, Minecraft, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, and many more!

It goes without saying that the club’s regular attendees were absolutely thrilled to use the new consoles. Jackson and I both agree that this has been our favorite donation yet, as nothing compared to the way their faces lit up at the sight of Mario Kart.
